It gives us great pleasure to announce the beginning of a novel set of programmes exclusively aimed at developing and cultivating Critical Thinking in children and adolescents. As you may be aware, this type of programmes is almost nonexistent in Cyprus and extremely rare abroad. The development of this particular series of courses is the result of a systematic effort which we began approximately two years ago, with the ultimate purpose of filling this gap in public and private education in Cyprus.
The series consists of three different levels of difficulty. Students at the ages of 9 or 10 may join level 1, students at the ages of 11 or 12 may join level 2 and students at the ages of 13 or 14 may join level 3. Further information on the nature of the courses, including course objectives, teaching approach and benefits of the course, can be found in the course outlines below (in Greek).

As you will ascertain from these course outlines, the group of skills and attributes constituting what we refer to as Critical Thinking are absolutely essential in the context of today’s fast-paced society. This, combined with the fact that the education system in Cyprus insists on setting different priorities, intensify the need for making these programmes accessible to as many students as possible. With this in mind, the Institute has decided not to charge tuition fees for any of its programmes in Critical Thinking and Analysis. Lessons will take place once a week, every Wednesday, at the following hours:
Level 1: Wednesday, 15:00 – 16:30
Level 2: Wednesday, 16:30 – 18:00
Level 3: Wednesday, 18:00 – 19:30
Please note that in the upcoming academic year (2018 – 2019), there is only room for the creation of a single group per level, and thus a limited number of places. Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. To register, please give us a call on 22331467 or 99356444.
